  • Underground Cable Installation

    Published Date: October 03, 2016

t has come to the attention of Spectrum Association Management that Suddenlink is Installing underground cable throughout certain areas in Cross Oak Ranch and is digging up some front yards located on Earp, Holliday, and Brahma. I have been assured by a representative from Suddenlink that all yards will be filled back in as soon as possible. Suddenlink extended an apology regarding the fact that no prior notice was given to the owners about the upcoming work; a door hanger was supposed to be placed on every door whose yard was to be affected. We were told that all yards will be restored and monitored over the next six months and if the existing grass does not regrow, Suddenlink will make sure that new sod is added in the affected areas.

  • Helpful Hints in Watching for Snakes

    Published Date: June 28, 2016

Keep children and pets in your sight at all times. Keep doors into your homes closed at all times. Be aware of your surroundings at all times and keep a constant watch inside and outside your home. Keep in mind that snakes will usually try to escape to the nearest cover, so try not to stand between them and bushes or other cover. When startled, some snakes will flatten their heads and puff up to make themselves look more intimidating. A snake may also act defensive or try to strike when cornered, so give it space! Releasing a smelly musk and striking are a snake's only defenses so distance between you and the snake is recommended. Some non-venomous snakes will rattle their tails when they feel threatened -- this can sound like a rattlesnake if they are in dry leaves. Click Full Story for more information.

It’s wise to carry a doggie waste bag with you and take care of matters on the spot.

  • First Amendment to Bylaws

    Published Date: January 11, 2016

Over the years it has been difficult for the Association to make quorum at annual meetings to conduct business or hold elections of the Board. Although lowering quorum in order to conduct Association business requires a 67% vote from Owners, the quorum for holding elections can be lowered by a majority vote of the Board. On January 8, 2016, the Board of Directors held an open Board meeting and voted to lower the quorum for election purposes only to ten percent (10%).
